Terms of Service
Last updated: 2 April 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of HandLit ("Service"), operated by HandLit ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What the service is
HandLit is a club management platform built specifically for handball clubs. It provides tools for squad management, training scheduling, attendance tracking, match protocol, player performance analytics, injury tracking, and team communication.
The Service is intended for use by handball clubs, coaches, and players. It is not designed for other sports, and we make no warranty of suitability for purposes outside handball club management.
2. Accounts
You must register for an account to use HandLit. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep it updated. Accounts created with false information may be terminated without notice.
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account independently. Users under 16 may use the Service only with verified parental or guardian consent, which the club is responsible for obtaining.
3. Free and paid plans
Starter (free)
The Starter plan is free indefinitely for one team of up to 20 players. No payment information is required. Features are limited as described on the pricing page and may change over time with reasonable notice.
Club and Academy (paid)
Paid plans unlock additional teams, advanced features, and higher usage limits. Pricing is published on our website and may be billed monthly or annually as selected at checkout.
A 14-day free trial is available for paid plans. No charge is made during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your chosen plan begins and payment is collected automatically.
All prices are listed in euros (EUR) and are inclusive of applicable VAT where required by law.
4. Payment and billing
Payments are processed by our payment provider. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) until you cancel.
If a payment fails, we will notify you and attempt to retry. After repeated failures, your account may be downgraded to the Starter plan and access to paid features suspended until payment is resolved.
We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Price changes will not apply to your current billing period โ they take effect at the next renewal.
All paid plan fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable consumer protection law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 14 days at privacy@handlit.eu.
5. Cancellation policy
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until the period ends.
After cancellation, your account reverts to the Starter plan. Your data (squad, match history, player stats) is retained and remains accessible. You are not required to delete your account to cancel a paid plan.
If you wish to delete your account entirely, you can do so from settings. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. We will delete your personal data within 30 days as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use HandLit to:
- Upload, post, or transmit content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, abusive, or discriminatory
- Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your affiliation with any club
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to another user's account or to our infrastructure
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or scrape the Service or its data
- Use the Service to manage teams or players outside of handball
- Resell or sublicense access to HandLit without our written permission
- Introduce malware, viruses, or any code designed to disrupt or damage the Service
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without prior notice depending on severity.
7. Content and data ownership
You retain ownership of all data you enter into HandLit โ player profiles, match results, attendance records, messages, and tactical notes. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display that data solely to provide the Service to you.
We do not claim ownership of your club's data. We will not use your data to train machine learning models, share it with third parties for commercial purposes, or use it in any way not described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Limitation of liability
HandLit is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from loss of data.
We are not liable for:
- Decisions made by coaches based on data shown in HandLit (player selection, injury clearance, training load)
- Loss of data resulting from user error, account deletion, or force majeure events
- Any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the Service
- Downtime, data loss, or service interruptions caused by third-party infrastructure (Supabase, Resend, hosting providers)
- Actions of other users on the platform, including coaches posting unfair ratings or inappropriate messages
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or โฌ50, whichever is greater.
9. Account termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you:
- Violate these Terms or our Privacy Policy
- Engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
- Fail to pay for a paid plan after repeated attempts
- Create accounts for the purpose of circumventing plan limits
Where possible, we will give notice before termination and allow you to export your data. For serious violations (fraud, illegal activity), termination may be immediate.
If you believe your account was terminated in error, contact us at privacy@handlit.eu and we will review within 5 business days.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the Republic of Lithuania, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lithuania, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country provides otherwise.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
If you do not accept the revised Terms, you may cancel your subscription and delete your account before they take effect.
12. Digital products and downloads
